a non-statement statement

i don’t believe that art should be accompanied with a statement. statements are what writers and critics make. i am a painter. i make paintings. this is not an anti-intellectual stance. the work is considered and loaded. i’ve spent 28 years thinking about what i make. that time mark might be grounds for dismissal or consideration. i think about big things and small things. i know small things and few big things, and hope to learn more about medium things, and small things, and big things. i have opinions. they don’t have to be yours.
